We have been running the voluntary option of New Deal 18-24 for the past 5 years. New Deal is a scheme in association with Job Centre Plus, which offers a comprehensive programme of job searching, training and work experience. Currently approximately 80% of our trainees are finding permanent, long-term employment.

We offer training opportunities in many different areas including NVQ’s in Administration, Customer Service and Child Care to name but a few. In recent months we have increased our placement opportunities to include areas such as Maintenance, IT, Retail and Leisure. Many of our trainees have found that the experience they gain on their placement has proved invaluable when seeking work.

The primary focus of New Deal is to assist our trainees in finding employment; we do this in a variety of ways. Including using the Internet, the local job papers and via local agencies. We also encourage our trainees to partake in workshops that provide them with skills that not only assist them in gaining employment but also to maintain it. Our workshops cover topics such as body language, interview techniques and workplace etiquette.
